Coldplay is a British rock band formed in London in 1996. Coldplay has sold more than 100 million albums worldwide, making them one of the world's best-selling music artists of all time. The band consists of vocalist Chris Martin, Will Champion - drums, Jonny Buckland - lead guitar, the bassist Guy Berryman & creative director Phil Harvey. Coldplay members first met at University College London where they began playing music together, first calling themselves Pectoralz and then Starfish (from 1996 to 1998).
